BUTTON PRESSED FILMS is the work of award winning film-makers MARK TEW and SIMON MESSINGHAM
They are a multi-talented bunch, having worked in 'the biz' for lots and lots of years. Between them they have done all the dirty jobs as well as some of the nice ones, their work covering all the bases of film production. If only they could clone themselves.
Mark has had a varied career as a producer, director, video editor, 1st A.D, camera operator, art director and everything in between. He has worked for clients such as MTV and Stella Artois, and worked on various local community and charity projects in the Sussex region.
Early in his career, Mark produced work in the trendy borough of Camden, London. Working with emerging musicians creating content for some new thing called 'YouTube'. Mark has produced and directed short films that have been shown in festivals all over the world. He currently works freelance and teaches a course in film & television production for The Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts.
Simon has been a professional writer since 1994. He has authored nine novels for the BBC’s Doctor Who range. He has also written for the stage, TV and film. As a copywriter he has been commissioned by a range of clients; most recently Future Sun Films AMEX & Surrey Police commercials.
Simon was co-creator and writer of ‘Tales of Uplift and Moral Improvement’ – a thirteen part black comedy series starring Rik Mayall for the BBC, produced by Channel X. His feature commissions include the screenplay comedy: ‘Goth Holiday’ for the UK Film Council.
